RaveLoop Product Reviews

Help

Short answers to the questions I hear most. If yours is not here, write to me at rolseq@gmail.com. I reply within one working day.

How do I start?

Open RaveLoop in your site dashboard. The Overview tab shows three steps: add the reviews section to your product page, set up the review request automation, and match the widget to your brand. Click “Add to product page”, publish your site, and the reviews section is live on every product page. The first reviews arrive once the automation has sent its first requests.

The reviews section does not show on my product page.

RaveLoop needs Wix Stores, so make sure your site has a store with at least one product. After “Add to product page” you must publish the site in the editor; the section only shows on the published version. If the first click says the plugin could not be added, click Try again. You can also add it by hand: open the product page in the editor, select the page, open the Plugins panel (the plug icon) and add RaveLoop Product Reviews.

How do I get the star rating under the product title?

The star line next to the price is a second, smaller plugin. In the editor, open the product page, open the Plugins panel and add RaveLoop Star Rating. It shows the average and the number of reviews, and clicking it scrolls to the reviews section. In the editor it may appear a little above the title; on the live site it sits in the right place.

How do review requests work?

After each paid order (or each fulfilled order, your choice on the Review requests tab), RaveLoop prepares a review request with a one-time link for that customer and hands it to your automation as the event “Review request is ready”. Your automation sends the email, from your own address and after the delay you choose. RaveLoop itself never sends email. The Free plan prepares 25 requests a month; Pro and Business have no limit.

How do I set up the automation?
  1. In your dashboard, open Automations and click Create new automation.
  2. Trigger: choose RaveLoop, then “Review request is ready”.
  3. Add a Delay action (5 to 10 days works well, so the parcel has arrived), then Send an email.
  4. Open the Review requests tab in RaveLoop, click Copy email template and paste it into the email. The placeholders for the customer’s name, the product, the order number and the review link are filled in for each customer.
  5. Activate the automation and tick “I created the automation” on the Overview tab.
Can I send a reminder?

On Pro and Business, yes. Create a second automation with the trigger “Review reminder is ready” and the same email action, then use the Remind link next to a request in the table on the Review requests tab. The reminder uses the same one-time link.

What is the verified-buyer badge?

A review carries the badge when it was written through the one-time link from a review request and the email address on the form matches the email of the order. The link is only valid once, so nobody can use it to post a second review. Reviews written straight from the product page are welcome too; they are shown without the badge.

Where do new reviews go?

New reviews wait in the Reviews tab under Waiting for approval until you approve or reject them. If you prefer, switch on “Publish new reviews automatically” on the Widget tab and every new review goes live at once; you can still reject it later. One customer can leave one review per product.

How do replies work?

Click Reply next to a review, write your answer and save. It appears under the review on the product page as a reply from the store. Edit or remove it the same way.

Where are the photos stored?

With photo reviews switched on (Pro and Business), customers can attach up to three photos. They are stored in your site’s Media Manager in the folder raveloop-reviews, so they stay with your site. Rejected reviews keep their photos until you delete the review.

Can I change the colours, the heading and the button text?

Yes, on the Widget tab: the section heading, the text shown when a product has no reviews yet, the label of the write-a-review button, the button and accent colour and the star colour. The settings apply to your live site right away. On Pro and Business you can also hide the small “Reviews by RaveLoop” link.

What are rich snippets?

On Business, RaveLoop adds structured data with the average rating and the number of reviews to each product page. Search engines can use it to show stars next to your product in search results. Whether they do is their decision and can take a few weeks after your site is crawled again.

How do review rewards work?

On Business, you can show a coupon code to the customer right after they submit a review. Create the coupon in your store first, then enter the code on the Widget tab. RaveLoop shows the code; your store handles the discount.

Can I import reviews I already have, or export mine?

Export (Pro and Business) downloads every review as a CSV file from the Import & export tab. Import (Business) reads a CSV with the same columns: productId, productName, rating, title, body, reviewerName, reviewerEmail, verified, status, photos, reply and createdDate. Export first to get a file with the right columns, then fill it in. Imported reviews are published right away.

What happens when a plan ends?

Nothing is deleted and every published review stays visible on your product pages. The paid settings pause: photo uploads stop, the badge link comes back, reminders and export are switched off, and requests go back to 25 a month. Everything returns when you upgrade again.

What happens when I uninstall the app?

Wix removes the dashboard and the widgets from your site. The three collections RaveLoop Reviews, RaveLoop Requests and RaveLoop Settings stay in your site’s CMS until you delete them, so you keep your reviews. Delete them in the CMS if you want a clean slate.

Something is not working. What do I do?

Reload the dashboard first; it reads the live state of your site. If the problem stays, write to me at rolseq@gmail.com with the name of your site and what you clicked. I reply within one working day.
