Roomkeep Room Booking
Help
How do I start?
Open Roomkeep in your site dashboard. The first run asks for the name of your place, an email for new bookings, your rooms with a price per night, check-in times, house rules and a color. Then add the Roomkeep Booking widget to a page in the editor and publish your site.
The dashboard asks me to add the CMS first. Why?
Roomkeep keeps your rooms, settings and bookings in your own site’s CMS, not on a server of mine. If your site has no CMS yet, open CMS in your dashboard and click to get started, then reload Roomkeep.
I changed a color, but the site still looks the same.
Click Save at the top of the Roomkeep dashboard. The editor, the dashboard preview and the live site all read the same saved setup, so after saving they match. Next to the Save button you see “Live site is up to date” once your site serves the saved version. If a page was open before, reload it.
Can two guests book the same night?
No. When a guest confirms, Roomkeep checks every night of the stay again and holds each night with a record that can only exist once. If another guest was a moment faster, the second guest sees a short note and can choose another room or other dates.
What is the difference between requests and instant booking?
With requests (all plans) the guest sends a request, the nights are held for them, and you confirm or decline it in the Bookings tab. The hold lasts 48 hours by default; you can change it in Settings. With instant booking (Pro and Business) the booking is confirmed at once.
How do guests pay?
Guests pay you directly: on arrival, by bank transfer or with a payment link you send. Write how in the payment note in Settings; guests read it before they confirm. Roomkeep takes no commission and charges no fee per booking.
How am I told about new bookings?
Each new booking creates a Wix notification in your dashboard and in the Wix Owner app on your phone, and the guest is added to your contact list (you can turn this off). To send emails, create an automation in your dashboard with the trigger “Roomkeep booking received”, “confirmed” or “declined” and an email action, for example a confirmation to the guest.
How do seasonal prices work?
On the Rates tab, add a season with dates that repeat every year or happen once. It can raise or lower prices by a percentage or set a fixed price per room, and it can set a longer minimum stay. Where periods overlap, the lower line in the list wins. A price strip shows the next four weeks for a quick check.
Does the widget follow my site language?
Yes. On Pro and Business, add a translation for each language of your site on the Texts and languages tab. Guest texts, room names, descriptions, extras, amenities and house rules can all be translated. Empty fields use your main text.
How do calendar links work?
On Business, paste the calendar (.ics) link of a room from an online travel channel or another calendar in Settings. Its booked nights are closed on your site. The sync server reads every link about every 15 minutes, and you can click Sync now at any time. To pass your bookings the other way, copy the room’s live calendar link from Settings and add it in the travel channel. It shows taken nights as “Not available”, with no guest details. A room with several links gets one live link per channel, so a channel never sees its own bookings back.
Something is not working. Where do I look?
Open the Status & log tab. Each check says what is wrong and what to do. Switch on the technical log to see what happened in the last 30 days, and use Copy log for support if you contact me. Guest details are never written to the log.
What happens if I move to a smaller plan?
Nothing is deleted. Rooms above the plan’s limit and paid settings stay saved and come back after an upgrade. The dashboard lists in plain words what is paused. If Wix billing cannot be reached for a moment, Roomkeep keeps using your last known plan, so a paying owner is never switched to Free by mistake.
Can I use it on my phone?
Yes. The booking widget is made for phones first, and the dashboard works on a phone too, in a mobile browser or in the Wix Owner app.
