BlockSense Ad Blocker Detector (“the app”) is provided by Coders Creation. This policy explains what data the app uses when you install it on your Wix site.
What the app uses
- Basic site information that Wix shares with every installed app (site ID, app instance ID, site name and URL, plan status). It is used only to know which plan your site is on and to apply your settings.
- Your settings (texts, colors, rules and image links). They are stored inside your Wix site as part of the app’s embedded script, not on Coders Creation servers.
- Anonymous counters (visits checked, visits with an ad blocker, notices shown, closed and allowed, device type, detection method and page path). They are stored in a collection named BlockSense Stats in your own site’s CMS. They contain no names, email addresses, IP addresses or other personal data, and are deleted automatically when they are older than your plan’s history period.
Site visitors
- To check for an ad blocker, the visitor’s browser adds a hidden test element to the page and sends small test requests to two well-known ad script addresses and to a Google test address. No data from your site or about the visitor is included in these requests, but like any web request they reach those servers.
- The app remembers in the visitor’s own browser (session and local storage) whether the notice was closed, how many pages were viewed in the visit, and which A/B test notice they see. It sets no cookies and does not track visitors across sites.
- The app does not collect, store or sell personal data of your site visitors.
Where data is processed
The app’s backend runs on Wix’s own hosting infrastructure. Coders Creation does not run separate servers or databases for the app.
Removing the app
When you uninstall the app, its script is removed from your site and your settings are deleted by Wix. The BlockSense Stats collection stays in your CMS until you delete it.
